Please join the Issaquah Special Services Department in partnership with The Arc of King County’s Rachel Nemhauser, Director of Information and Family Support, and Jae Kim, MSW, Information and Resource Program Manager, for an exploration of services available in King County and Washington State for people covering the array of community resources for students with Developmental Disabilities and their families. This informative and informal conversation is a great opportunity to find out what help is available, and to get your questions answered regarding resources through ARC, local community resources and DDA (waivers”, respite care, therapies, behavior support, etc.).  This presentation will provided on two dates:

ARC of King County Transition Services

Please join the Issaquah Special Services Department in partnership with The Arc of King County’s Tracie Warren, Future Planning Support Program Manager, for a presentation on the Transition to Adulthood presentation.  The information will include a timeline of when certain services for adult student should be applied for. ARC of King County will also share links of resources of families can readily locate and access these resources, as well as any required applications. In addition, the discussion will provide basic information, but focus on moving students into adulthood and the importance of fostering their ability to be independent.
