16 Sep Off and Running!

Hello Room 211 Families,

We are well on our way to a great school year ahead.  We are slowing everything down to learn and reinforce routines that will be used throughout the school year.  Taking the time now to teach and support students as they learn the expectations pays off when students are independently performing routine parts of their day in the coming weeks and months.

One of everyone’s favorite time of the day is recess!  We have been going outside to play in the sunshine with our friends.  As we all know, the weather will be changing soon.  Rain or shine, we will still be going to recess (exceptions are heavy downpours and thunder!).  Please feel free to send in rainboots that can stay at school for use during recess.  Also, dressing in layers and providing a waterproof jacket helps our days run a lot smoother.

Thank you for continuing to fill out your child’s communication notebook each morning.  It truly is helpful information for program staff as we start our day.  Please remove items being sent home daily, too.  As papers pile up, they are more likely to spill out onto the floor in the classroom.
