In-Person Learning Extended

Hello Room 307 Families,

As Special Services continue to monitor in-person programs, they believe it is time to extend the school day and provide more access to in-person learning for students in our class.  It is understood that this is another change, and some of the change could be a great impact to your family.  Starting on Thursday, February 25th, our LRCII program will extend to 3.5 hours of in-person instruction from 9:15am – 12:45pm, four days a week.  Wednesdays will remain fully-remote.  Therapists and related service providers should not change.

In preparation for this change, you will get the new bus times from transportation, and specific information about the changes to our schedule from me.  Students will have asynchronous learning (NO in-person school) on Monday, February 22nd & Tuesday, February 23rd to provide program staff time to make these changes to the schedule and ensure a smooth transition for everyone. I will send home asynchronous materials tomorrow.

We are proud of the work our students are doing and believe that in-person learning is what is best for many as we strive to meet more needs through longer in-person learning opportunities.  Please reach out with questions and watch for updated bus information from transportation.

Take care,

Jaime
