It’s Friday!

Happy Friday! A few classroom updates for everyone as we wrap our first month of school:

  1. As you may know, our playground has been fenced off all month. Bark chips have been removed and rubber tiles are in the process of being installed. The adhesive used needs a dry surface and the weather hasn’t cooperated much lately. The latest update is that our playground will be open on Monday! This is going to be so great for all students to have a place to play that is familiar and accessible. I’m hoping it also makes the transition in from recess smoother. Hoping for sunny skies again!
  2. A quick reminder to report absences to me as well as the school using the attendance email address: If applicable, please also let the transportation department know. Please keep sick children at home.
  3. Thank you to all families for your support, patience and understanding as we get our program up and running smoothly this year. September has been a great month for everyone – I am so proud of all students in Room 307! We have been focusing on our daily schedule, transitions and (re)familiarizing everyone with the structures and routines in our classroom as well as in the general education classrooms. Can’t wait to see what October brings!

As always, please reach out with any questions, concerns and/or successes! We are a team and I enjoy hearing from you!

Have a great weekend!
